Cool Jellyfish Photos

In this photo series you will find some of the coolest jellyfish pictures. Actually, the term "jellyfish" is a misnomer. They are not fishes, not even close. That is why some people prefer to call them as jellies or sea jellies. They belong to special phylum of mostly sea invertebrates called Cnidaria. Corals are also cnidarians. Other prominent member of this phylum are sea anemones, sea pens etc. The cnidarians have stinging cells. They also have a complex life cycle with polyp and medusa stages. What we know as jellyfish is the polyp stage of these animals. Anyway, enough info is given now enjoy the photos.
